Kamakura and Enoshima Day Trip from Tokyo: Cost and Which Pass to Buy (2026)
Short answer: from Shinjuku, the Enoshima-Kamakura Freepass costs ¥1,640 per adult and covers your Odakyu round trip plus unlimited Enoden rides for the day. If you are already in Fujisawa, the rule is simple: 4 or more Enoden rides → buy a pass; 3 or fewer → single tickets are cheaper. Fares from the official Enoden and Odakyu pages, checked 2026-10-08.

The three ticket choices
| Ticket | Adult | Child (6–11) | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enoden single tickets | ¥200–¥310 per ride | about half | One ride each |
| Enoden 1-day pass "Noriorikun" | ¥800 | ¥400 | Unlimited Enoden rides for one day |
| Enoshima-Kamakura Freepass from Fujisawa | ¥810 | ¥410 | Unlimited Enoden + Odakyu Fujisawa ⇄ Katase-Enoshima for one day |
| Enoshima-Kamakura Freepass from Shinjuku | ¥1,640 | ¥430 | The above + one Odakyu round trip Shinjuku ⇄ Fujisawa |
Not included in any of them: the Romancecar limited express (extra ticket) and the Shonan Monorail.
Enoden single fares you will actually use
| Ride | Adult fare |
|---|---|
| Fujisawa → Enoshima | ¥220 |
| Enoshima → Hase (Great Buddha) | ¥260 |
| Enoshima → Kamakura | ¥260 |
| Hase → Kamakura | ¥200 |
| Fujisawa → Hase | ¥310 |
| Fujisawa → Kamakura | ¥310 |
Two typical routes, worked out
Route A: the full loop, back to Fujisawa (4 rides)
Fujisawa → Enoshima → Hase → Kamakura → Fujisawa
| Ticket | Adult cost |
|---|---|
| Single tickets: ¥220 + ¥260 + ¥200 + ¥310 | ¥990 |
| Noriorikun | ¥800 (saves ¥190) |
| Freepass from Fujisawa | ¥810 (saves ¥180, and also covers Odakyu to Katase-Enoshima) |
For ¥10 more than Noriorikun, the Freepass also lets you use the Odakyu line to Katase-Enoshima, the station closest to Enoshima Island. If you want that option, the Freepass is the better buy.
Route B: one way, ending in Kamakura (3 rides)
Fujisawa → Enoshima → Hase → Kamakura, then leave Kamakura by another line
| Ticket | Adult cost |
|---|---|
| Single tickets: ¥220 + ¥260 + ¥200 | ¥680 (cheapest) |
| Noriorikun | ¥800 |
| Freepass from Fujisawa | ¥810 |
With only 3 rides, a pass costs you ¥120–¥130 more. If you get off and on more often (for example, an extra stop on the way), each extra ride adds another fare and the pass can win again. Add every ride in the calculator to see.
Coming from Shinjuku
- Freepass from Shinjuku: ¥1,640 per adult. It includes one Odakyu round trip between Shinjuku and Fujisawa. That is ¥830 more than the Fujisawa version, so it is worth it if your regular Odakyu round trip Shinjuku ⇄ Fujisawa costs more than ¥830. Check the fare on the ticket machine or Odakyu's fare search and enter it in the calculator.
- Romancecar (faster, reserved seat): +¥750 per adult (+¥380 child) each way, Shinjuku ⇄ Katase-Enoshima. Buying the seat online saves ¥50.
- Budget per adult from Shinjuku: ¥1,640 with regular trains, ¥2,390 with the Romancecar one way, ¥3,140 with the Romancecar both ways.
- Odakyu says Enoshima and Kamakura are about an hour from central Tokyo.
Rules to know before you buy
- The pass is valid for one day. The day you buy it counts as day 1.
- The digital pass works on smartphones only, with up to 4 tickets per phone. Everyone on the same phone must travel together.
- Paper passes are sold at Odakyu ticket machines and Odakyu Sightseeing Service Centers. Digital passes are sold on EMot Online Tickets.
- The Freepass also gives discounts at temples, the aquarium, cafés and bike rentals. We do not count them in the math above.
Which one should you buy?
